Meet the Funder: Cash for Kids

Last year Cash for Kids are forecasted to have raised £23.69 million across the UK, supporting over half a million children. If your charity is based in Inverclyde, has a turnover of less than £1 million, and supports disadvantaged children and young people (up to 18 years) who are affected by poverty, ill-health, neglect or has additional support needs, you could benefit from one of many of their grant programmes. Spread throughout the year these have included.
- Holiday Hunger Grants – grants distributed during the holidays providing food and activities.
- Sir Arnold Clark Summer Fund supports children participate in activities that promote physical activity, social interaction, and nutritional wellbeing.
- Schools Challenge encourages schools to ‘compete’ to raise the most money and receive cash prizes of up to £5k.
- Supports Challenges provides cash prizes for grassroots sports clubs.
- Cost of Living Grants distribute £50 per child for items that promote physical and mental health
A wide range of projects and activities are supported including holiday and after school activities, holiday camps, day trips and outings, activities that promote life skills, or just making sure children and young people they have a healthy meal.
