All voluntary organisations have a committee that has overall responsibility for running the organisation. It is important that your group has a committee with the right range of skills and abilities to run the group legally and effectively.

Recruiting Committee members

Recruiting new committee members can be difficult and unfortunately we can't find committee members for you. What we can do is help you identify the skills you need, make sure your committee is inclusive and help you to ask people in the right way.

Training Committee members

Joining a committee for the first time can be a steep learning curve. We offer training for new committee members and for people who are considering becoming a committee member of an organisation. We also offer training for people who have been on committees for a while who would like to develop their skills.

Evaluating your Committee

Your committee has to have the full range of skills, knowledge and energy to run your organisation. We can work with you to identify where your board is strong and where it could be strengthened. You can use that evaluation to identify what training or recruitment you need to undertake to make your committee and organisation more effective.
