Young Scot's "My Story 365" is a content based project that will tell the stories of young people across Scotland through a website every day of the year. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to participate in the year, and contribute to a truly meaningful piece of work that will allow the people of Scotland to better understand what it means to grow up in Scotland.
The key outcomes of this project are:
Providing young people with a voice and platform where they can talk about their journeys, aspirations and inspirations;
Removing negative attitudes and stigma towards young people in Scotland;
Showcasing the diversity of thought in young people across Scotland and inspiring others to express themselves.
Through #MyStory365, Young Scot aims to showcase the extraordinary young people that we have growing up in Scotland.
How it Works
Young Scot already has a range of young people involved, so they can start straight away in January 2018. They would like the most diverse range of young people to be involved, and are particularly keen to hear from a few younger young people - though note that they need parental consent on the form for young people under 16.
My Story 365 will predominantly be hosted on a project WordPress, although the format will allow them to link their images, videos and stories to other social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
At the end of the year, they will have collated 365 stories highlighting the diversity of the incredible stories from young people in Scotland but also capturing the themes that are important to them.
