CVS Inverclyde is the third sector interface (TSI) for Inverclyde. Our role is to connect, strengthen and support our incredible local third sector.
Our membership is open to people who live, work or volunteer in Inverclyde and voluntary organisations that operate in Inverclyde. Voluntary organisations include community groups, sports clubs, drama groups, youth groups, community centres, charities, housing associations, churches and a whole lot more.
Our four-part criteria for membership is:
1) the group serves a positive community purpose
2) it is led by volunteers even if it employs paid staff
3) it isn’t part of the public sector or a political party
4) it doesn’t exist to generate profits to be distributed to shareholders.
Members need to meet all four of the criteria.
CVS Inverclyde membership is about recognising that communities and the voluntary sector are stronger together. CVS Inverclyde's role is to connect, develop and represent the sector. Acceptance into membership is contingent upon demonstrating positive behaviours / principles including collaboration, equality and integrity.
