St Andrew’s First Aid are offering third sector groups in Inverclyde access to their fully funded Resilience First Aid Course.

The aim of the Resilience First Aid course is to foster resilient communities, increasing residents’ preparedness and responses, by providing first aid training to those most at risk of injury due to extremes of temperature.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Incident and Casualty Management and performing a secondary survey.
  • Extremes of cold – hypothermia
  • Extremes of heat – heat stroke, dehydration, heat exhaustion
  • Slips, trips and falls
  • Wounds and bleeding, and shock
  • Sprains and strains

The Resilience First Aid course is fully-funded and available to schools, communities and groups within Inverclyde.

St Andrew’s First Aid are looking to provide roughly 50 courses to schools in the Inverclyde area, and another 50 courses between groups and communities (of any demographic) within Inverclyde.

Each course is 3hrs long, certificated, and can accommodate a max of 15 people in each course.
