In order to bring organisations and people together in practical groups CVS Inverclyde facilitates a number of networks; all of which contribute into Inverclyde 3rd Sector Forum (I3SF). The networks are regularly reviewed to ensure they meet the needs of the sector and include thematic, practitioner, locality, action and virtual networks. You can register to be invited to any of the networks facilitated by CVS Inverclyde by clicking here.
Thematic networks bring together organisations that work in a similar field, strengthening their ability to work jointly. They currently include:
- Adult Health
- Children & Young People's Services
- Intergenerational Practice
- Older People's Services
Practitioner Networks help people who do similar jobs within organisations to share knowledge and improve their practice. They currently include:
- Chief Officers
- Social Enterprise
- Chairs & Deputies
- Volunteer Involving Organisations (facilitated by Trust Volunteering)
Locality Networks are funded by Awards for All and support people and organisations to work together to plan services in communities. The areas are:
- Greenock East & Central
- Greenock South
- Greenock South West
- Greenock West & Gourock
- Inverkip & Wemyss Bay
- Kilmacolm & Quarriers Village
- Port Glasgow
Action Networks are short-term networks facilitated by CVS Inverclyde where we believe that specific services could be better joined up.
Virtual Networks also exist where there is a need to provide information to and get feedback from a particular segment of the sector but there isn't demand for a regularly meeting network. Virtual networks will mainly take place via e-mail but may occasionally have "real-life" meetings where it is necessary. They currently include:
In addition to the networks above there are other opportunities for third sector organisations to network in Inverclyde.
