Community asset transfer (CAT) allows community-led groups and organisations to take a stake in or ownership of previously publicly owned land or buildings. As interest grows around CAT in Inverclyde, we want to make sure that your group or organisation has the right advice at the right time to support your aspirations.
Thirty-minute slots are available with each of the following experts to allow you to gain insight and information specific to your stage of the CAT journey, whether your group has an initial idea or further progressed with your plans.
- Craig Allan (Advisor for Inverclyde) Community Ownership Support Service & Bruce Newlands ( Secretary & Treasurer) Inverclyde Shed. Expert advice on the CAT process and an opportunity to learn from Inverclyde Shed – the first successful CAT in Inverclyde.
- Calum McLellan (Snr Community Empowerment Officer) & Hugh Scott (Service Manager) Inverclyde Council. An opportunity to discuss your project and understand how to work with the local authority on CAT.
- Catriona MacLeod (Project Manager) CVS Inverclyde. Help with governance including the opportunity to ask questions about appropriate legal structures.
- Annie Paton (Funding Support), CVS Inverclyde. Find out about potential funding routes to help you explore your idea or identify funding to support asset acquisition and redevelopment.
