CVS Inverclyde is offering a series of workshops for Unincorporated Organisation across Inverclyde.
The series of three workshops will provide your organisation with the tools and knowledge of good governance, allowing your organisation to grow and develop. Each workshop will have a different theme allowing you to either attend all three sessions or any sessions that are appropriate to your organisation.
In our first session, we will discuss the value of developing and maintaining a governing document. Your governing document sets outs how you plan to run your organisation, its purpose, aims and vision as well as laying out the powers. Your governing document, is crucial if you intend to apply for grants and other small pockets of monies. Grant makers or funders require a governing document to give them an understanding of the organisation and to ascertain if your organisation fits their criteria.
Your governing document is also vital for your board members/trustees as this will provide them with an overview of the organisation and what you deliver. This session will cover the following areas:
- Understanding the value of a governing document
- What should be included in your governing document
- Review and maintance of your governing document
