Following the recent relaunch of Inverclyde Life, CVS Inverclyde is holding a series of free training sessions this month on how to get the most out of the website, www.inverclydelife.com the portal created as a platform for the hundreds of social projects that exist locally.
Any groups involved in running local projects can use the site to promote their activities and services to people who live locally. Projects using Inverclyde Life include advice services, sports clubs, community centres, childcare, arts groups, care services, housing, community groups, activities for children, physical and mental health services, gardening projects and more.
Training sessions take place at the Inverclyde Community Hub on:
Monday 19 August: 2pm to 4pm
Tuesday 20 August: 10.30am to 12.30pm
Thursday 22 August: 2pm to 4pm
Wednesday 28 August: 2pm to 4pm
Inverclyde Life Information Officer, Karla Johnstone, will show community groups and voluntary sector organisations how to add and update their own activities and services online, as well as create their own directory of projects that interest them or perhaps want to share with others.
The Inverclyde Life website has been designed to make the process simple, especially for organisations wanting to promote multiple services. It lets them share the responsibility of adding services, as well as ensuring they are kept up to date.
