Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
Further to our recent Coronavirus update and the escalation of measures put in place to reduce transmission through social distancing, we have asked our team to work from home from Wednesday 18 March, until the situation is safe. They can be contacted by email in the first instance.
We will also reduce contact by postponing our planned events for the next four to eight weeks and have asked staff to cancel meetings and other non-essential work. This will be reviewed as appropriate.
Our priority is to help ensure the health and wellbeing of staff, their families and the wider community.
We are continuing to coordinate communications with Inverclyde HSCP, while monitoring guidance for employers, staff and volunteers from the UK and Scottish governments. We will provide any updates through emails to our network, on these website news pages and through our social media channels.
Volunteers – we are asking organisations who are looking for volunteers over this time to create a volunteering opportunity on the Volunteer Inverclyde website – www.volunteerinverclyde.com. We will use the website as the main point of contact for any members of the general public who are looking to volunteer.
The aim is to have one point of contact for organisations to promote their volunteering opportunities and one point of contact for potential volunteers. We will also promote these opportunities via our social media platforms.
Inverclyde Life - with many people in our community eager to offer support, Inverclyde Life would also like to help your organisation to do that. We have now added "COVID-19" as a tag within the website at www.inverclydelife.com and would ask that you update your "About" section to include what your organisation or group can do to help at this time- such as food parcels, dog walking, daily phone calls to those self-isolating, etc - using the COVID-19 tag. Then anyone who searches Inverclyde Life using the keyword COVID-19 will be directed to all organisations offering support and help. Using the tag will further ensure that your organisation will be seen.
We shall be sharing this on all our social media platforms and would ask that you please do the same. We want to ensure that our community knows where to turn to for help during this difficult time.
