Funding available for groups, charities and businesses affected by the COVID-19 virus is now becoming clearer, as a number of funds launch over the next few weeks.
The Third Sector Resilience Fund launched on Tuesday 25 March, with £20M available for groups affected by the virus. This is the smallest Fund of three which are being launched. The others, coming shortly, might be a better 'fit', so don't despair if you don't meet the Resilience Fund criteria. All applications must go through this web link below and not directly to the administrators:
The Supporting Communities Fund (£40M) will be used to support the rapidly growing and inspiring community efforts at a local level:
The Wellbeing Fund (£48M) will distribute funds locally to reach the most vulnerable groups:
What Scotland's Funders are saying - if you are currently receiving funding, but are no longer able to deliver the service or activity, or it has evolved to meet new current needs, please talk to your funder now! Don't be scared - they are very happy to be flexible about how you are using their funds!
If you have already submitted an application, then the assessment process will still be underway – all the Funders are remaining 'open for business'.
The National Emergencies Trust will open in the next couple of days, with grant decisions made within one week. This UK-wide fundraising appeal is receiving donations from the corporate sector and individuals. In Scotland, funds will be distributed by Foundation Scotland and local partners. Launch details will be widely available via their website:
The Coronavirus Third Sector Information Hub is kept up to date and information on all funding programmes and opportunities will be posted here: www.scvo.org.uk/support/coronavirus/funding You can also sign up for a daily email update.
