New Directory & Job Hub from Scotland Food & Drink

Scotland Food & Drink is launching a food and drink directory that could help companies across Inverclyde increase their business to consumer (B2C) sales. It is part of the organisation's focus on finding new ways to support businesses, particularly those who have been impacted by the decimation of the hospitality and catering industry as a result of coronavirus.

As markets change, so too has consumer behaviour. With an increase in at-home consumption of food and drink, producers, wholesalers and foodservice companies now have a significant opportunity to sell direct to consumers through online orders or local deliveries/pick-ups.

To support this, Scotland Food & Drink has created a bespoke food and drink directory that consumers will be able to search by region and product type and purchase directly through your website or by telephone.

All listings are free for businesses and the portal will be supported by a 'Shop Local' communications campaign led by Scotland Food & Drink.

Any business currently selling direct to consumers can join this new portal by clicking here to download, complete and return the directory form in Word format with a hi-resolution logo (JPG or PNG) to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. It hopes to launch the new initiative by Monday 20 April.

Scotland Food & Drink is also highlighting a new platform developed by Skills Development Scotland, with support from the Scotland Food and Drink Partnership. My World of Work Job Hub is a fast and free service, which enables Scottish employers to advertise immediate vacancies to a wide audience using Scotland's dedicated online careers resource.

The organisation is encouraging any employer with immediate vacancies to visit ourskillsforce.co.uk/jobhub to find out more or contact the SDS Employer Helpline on 0800 763 6000.
