As lockdown restrictions are starting to be eased for some, organisations across Scotland are planning to remobilise day services for adults with learning disabilities, people with dementia and others. The Scottish Commission for People with Learning Disabilities (SCLD) is working with the Scottish Government and Social Work Scotland to support this planning and has been asked to get in touch with stakeholders for any comments or questions you might have about this process of remobilisation.
In particular, SCLD would like to hear about:
Any good practice in day services/supports that you are currently providing, or have heard about in your area?
Any innovative work arising from lockdown restrictions that you think should be maintained post-lockdown, because it works better for people?
Any barriers to remobilising that you anticipate?
Any questions that need you would like to ask and have answered in this process?
Any specific suggestions about how the Scottish Government could help with this planning process?
