CVS Inverclyde has added IT support to its Inverclyde Third Sector Advice Service (I3-SAS), which offers dedicated support to voluntary organisations, social enterprises and community groups across the region during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The I3-SAS helpline has been manned by CVS Inverclyde staff over the past few weeks to provide their expert advice on a wide range of issues including funding, HR and staffing, governance, independent financial examinations and OSCR enquiries. IT has now been added following our local Third Sector survery, which highlighted that many organisations have questions or concerns about IT.
Commenting on I3-SAS, Charlene Elliott, Chief Executive Officer, CVS Inverclyde, said: "With the third sector in Inverclyde playing such a crucial role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, helping individuals and communities at this difficult time, they, in turn, need support themselves.
"Our role at CVS Inverclyde has always been to support third sector organisations. Although we have dedicated significant resources to the COVID-19 pandemic through ramping up volunteering support, introducing our Shielders Service, Prescription Collection and more, we continue to be there for the wider sector.
"That's why we are offering a specialist telephone advice service to support voluntary sector organisations working in these challenging times.
The I3-SAS service runs Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 5pm and is open to all third sector organisations working in Inverclyde.
