As Chief Executive of CVS Inverclyde, I believe Inverclyde can take great pride in our response to the challenges presented by the global Covid-19 pandemic.
In our role as the TSI, CVS Inverclyde has worked hard to support our diverse third sector during these unprecedented times. The organisation was strategically positioned to engage at a national level with the Scottish Government, TSI Network across Scotland and other intermediary bodies and funding agencies, which enabled us to secure funding for organisations across Inverclyde to continue to support our community during the pandemic.
Supported by our experienced and dedicated team, CVS Inverclyde has delivered a key role in coordinating the community and third sector response to COVID-19, working in partnership with a variety of organisations throughout Inverclyde's third sector, Inverclyde HSCP, Inverclyde Council, Housing Associations, Scottish Government and the local community at a grassroots and individual level.
Additionally, I have been invited to represent CVSI and our members on Inverclyde Council's Local Recovery Working Group and to be Vice-Chair of the HSCP Recovery Group. I am also a member of the Economic Recovery sub-group and the Culture, Communities and Sport sub-group, all of which provide great opportunities to give a voice to the third sector in Inverclyde. Any members who have something they would like to discuss in relation to these sub-groups, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
As the lockdown restrictions continue to ease through the various phases, the third sector has a pivotal role to play in supporting Inverclyde to recover, rebuild and strengthen our communities.
I would like to thank and applaud all of you for your support and the work you have done during these difficult and challenging times. I look forward to continuing to work together.
With best wishes
Chief Executive Officer
