A new campaign has been launched by CVS Inverclyde (CVSI) to recognise and thank volunteers, third sector organisations and their partners for the community response during the Covid-19 pandemic
The 'Thank You Inverclyde' campaign has been created following the outstanding response from Inverclyde's thriving third sector during the covid-19 pandemic.
Recognising the need to thank groups and individuals collectively, CVSI has spent the past month collating stories from those organisations that delivered critical services or attracted volunteers to support the local response.
CVSI will now spend the rest of September fortnight thanking all of the groups that delivered services and recognise their efforts.
All of the material will be made available to view at the CVSI website and social media channels, with a broader campaign to locate and celebrate all of the local volunteers during Covid-19, as well as inviting them to continue volunteering through CVSI's 'Volunteer Inverclyde' initiative.
Charlene Elliott, Chief Executive of CVS Inverclyde, said:
Having helped to support, coordinate and deliver so many critical services during the pandemic, CVSI felt it was essential to take the time to thank and recognise all of the third sector organisations, their partners and volunteers.
This fantastic initiative has enabled a broad spectrum of the many community-focused groups across Inverclyde to celebrate the heroic volunteers at a time it was most needed.
The strength of the third sector network in Inverclyde has never been clearer to see than during Covid-19, and we hope many local people will continue to volunteer in the future.
