Following its recent annual general meeting on 19 November 2020, CVS Inverclyde (CVSI) has appointed Ardgowan Hospice Chief Executive, Linda McEnhill as its new Chair.
Linda, who became the Hospice CEO in March 2018, replaces outgoing Chair and Your Voice Executive Officer, Karen Haldane who steps down following the end of her three-year term.
Reflecting on her appointment as Chair, Linda said:
"I am delighted to be appointed as the new Chair of CVSI, where I have been a Trustee since November 2019.
"This is an outstanding organisation, leading a truly diverse and inspirational group of third sector organisations throughout Inverclyde to come together and support one another.
"I look forward to further supporting the excellent work of the CVSI team and championing the local third sector during my term as Chair."
Outgoing Chair, Karen said:
“It has been an honour to be Chair of CVSI for these past three years and I would like to thank Charlene Elliott and her team for their support.
"I will continue to work closely alongside CVSI through our work at Your Voice and would like to wish Linda every success in the role."
CVSI has also welcomed Pamela Jamieson-Smith as its newest Director. Pamela currently works in the public sector as Head of Organisational Development and Design. Pamela has previously held senior positions in the private sector with Capita, Manpower and public sector as an organisational development advisor with Inverclyde Council.
"It is fantastic to welcome both Linda as Chair and Pamela as our newest Director and both are fantastic appointments.
"Linda brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and can only further support CVSI as we continue to develop as an organisation.
"To be able to also appoint someone of the calibre of Pamela to the Board is fantastic, and we continue to welcome new Director’s interested in supporting CVSI and the third sector locally in its 25th Year.”
