Charlene Elliott took up the post of Chief Executive of CVS Inverclyde at the end of September 2019, joining the team from her role as Head of Corporate Funding and Development at the Kibble Education and Care Centre in Paisley. Passionate about the voluntary sector, she brings extensive experience and knowledge working at senior management level in large national charities, to 'make a difference' for the benefit of her home community where she lives.
She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Marketing from the University of Paisley and, after a brief spell in IBM, found her true vocation in the voluntary sector through her role as Funding Development Officer at Kibble, where she worked from January 2005 until November 2010.
Following Kibble, she went on to work for Cornerstone Community Care for four years before becoming part of a five-strong team who set up and established the Beatson Cancer Charity, first as Head of Fundraising and then Head of Development, deputising for the CEO.
Charlene was invited to return to Kibble and, in February last year, took up her current post with the remit to work closely with the CEO and Executive team, supporting strategy development, as well as leading funding and project management functions.
Born and bred in Inverclyde, Charlene attended Lady Alice Primary School and Greenock High School. She now lives in Inverkip with her husband Chris and two young daughters Elise and Emilia.
