About the Fund
CVS Inverclyde is pleased to launch the Inverclyde Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
On the 15th of October 2021 Kevin Stewart MSP, Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care, announced a new Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund. The Fund is part of the overall Scottish Government’s Recovery and Renewal fund and the Mental Health Transition and Recovery Plan. A fund of £15million for the current financial year has been made available for projects across Scotland and will be administered by the Third Sector Interface Network.
Inverclyde Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
Inverclyde has been awarded £244,609.99 for 2021-22, with the intention that further funding will be made available for 2022/23 (subject to Parliamentary approval). The Fund is being administered by CVS Inverclyde in partnership with the Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership, other local Third Sector partners and people with lived experience.
This fund recognises the crucial role that the Third Sector plays in supporting and improving the mental health and wellbeing of people living across Scotland. Together we want to ensure that people living in Inverclyde are supported to achieve good mental health and wellbeing ensuring that the right help and support is available.
The fund will support community-based initiatives that promote and develop good mental health and wellbeing and/or mitigate and protect against the impact of distress and mental ill health within the adult population (aged 16 and over).
