Meet the 2019 Finalists
Finalists are lining up for the Reach for the Stars Big Screen Awards Night at the Waterfront Cinema Greenock on Thursday 21 November 2019, where category winners will be announced.
Our CVS Inverclyde awards see community groups, voluntary organisations, charities, social enterprises and volunteers recognised and rewarded for their fantastic contribution to the local community.
Five finalists have been shortlisted in the
Voluntary Organisation of the Year category, sponsored by Inverclyde Life
Compassionate Inverclyde
Friends of Ardgowan Hospice
Inverclyde Bothy
Inverclyde Tourist Group
Starter Packs Inverclyde
While the judges have shortlisted theses five finalists, this accounts for 50 percent of the marks awarded in the Voluntary Organisation category. The People's Vote, which is now closed, has helped determine the remaining 50 percent to decide the winner.
Joining the five voluntary organisations for the Big Screen Awards Night at the Waterfront Cinema on Thursday 21 November, are finalists in four categories. They have been selected by independent judging panels with winners kept a closely guarded secret until the big reveal on awards night. Category finalists are:

Our Reach for the Stars awards are a celebration of Inverclyde's vibrant communities and voluntary sector and volunteers. We congratulate all our finalists and thank our sponsor partners and independent judges who were faced with another tremendous challenge in making their selection. Together, we are paying tribute to the many organisations and people who make such a valuable contribution to local life, work and play here in Inverclyde.
Films have been shot by West College Scotland Creative Industries students to introduce the 15 finalists at the Big Screen Awards Night.
Category winners will be presented with a crystal trophy, certificate and vouchers, with the Voluntary Organisation of the Year awarded a grant of £500 from the Inverclyde Community Fund, which is administered by CVS Inverclyde. All finalists will receive a framed certificate.
As well as the category sponsors, our thanks go to 2019 award partners - Inverclyde Community Development Trust, West College Scotland, Volunteer Inverclyde, Inverclyde Community Fund and Riverside Inverclyde.
