Social Prescribing Day 2026
Next Thursday marks Social Prescribing Day, an annual celebration recognising the role of social prescribing in supporting people’s health and wellbeing and the vital contribution of Community Link Workers, community groups and local and national organisations.
On the day, members of our GP‑based Community Link Worker team will be out in local health settings, sharing more about what social prescribing looks like in practice and the kinds of issues they support people to address.
Our Volunteer Engagement Officer, Beth, will also be there to chat about volunteering as a form of social prescribing and how getting involved can support wellbeing, connection and purpose. We’d love for you to come along to one of the following sessions and find out more:
Where to find us on Thursday 26 March:

• Port Glasgow Health Centre - 11:30am–1:00pm
