Our Volunteering Team also regularly attend community events, work closely with schools and other partners, and meet individuals one-to-one to promote the amazing benefits of volunteering and the different opportunities in Inverclyde. Advertising your opportunities through Volunteer Inverclyde is the best way to promote your roles across Inverclyde!
Tailored Support and Advice
CVS Inverclyde offer tailored advice and information on a range of topics in relation to volunteering, such as developing policies and procedures, volunteer agreements, involving young volunteers, and fostering positive volunteer relations.
There are lots of resources available on VolunteerWiki and we can support you to tailor these to suit your volunteer-involving organisation. Please just contact us.
We have also developed free, online training for volunteer-involving organisations to help them involve young people as volunteers. You can access our ‘Supporting Young Volunteers’ training here.
National Initiatives
We supports the delivery of various national campaigns and initiatives which aim to recognise, develop, and champion volunteers and the positive impact they make in Inverclyde and across Scotland.
Our favourite week of the year is, of course, Volunteers Week. We celebrate annually during the first week of June.
We also support:
· The Saltire Awards [link to the Saltire website, or our Saltire page]
· Investing in Volunteers Award
Saltire Awards:
The Saltire Awards are the Scottish Government's way of celebrating, recognising and rewarding the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers, aged 11-25, in Scotland.
Young people gain nationally recognised certificates, signed by Scottish Government Ministers, for the different amounts of volunteering they do.
