CVS Inverclyde’s – EPIC project is delighted to be shortlisted for a Social Enterprise Scotland Award, under the category of Buy Social Scotland Market Builder. This nomination reflects the hard work, determination and commitment from both past and present EPIC team members.
The EPIC project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in collaboration with Inverclyde Council. The project focuses on developing and growing a vital Social Enterprise sector across Inverclyde. The main outcome of this project is to encourage entrepreneurship, motivate and create employment opportunities for individuals and contribute to Inverclyde’s local economy building a more cohesive community.
CVS Inverclyde is fortunate to have received additional funding to continue exciting key aspects of this project in 2025/2026 and have already seen some amazing results. The project will continue to focus on developing social entrepreneurs, offering individual tailored support. This year we are excited to announce that the project has also increased its reach by introducing the Young Innovators Programme in collaboration with Kibble. This programme has been developed for young people within an education setting, it provides trauma informed support in a highly supportive learning environment. The programme will provide young people with the motivation, guidance and support to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The young people will have a unique opportunity to be mentored by local entrepreneurs who will provide structured guidance and share important and valuable real life expertise as well as supporting vulnerable young people to develop skills, confidence, gain qualifications and establish businesses.
CVS Inverclyde would like to thank Social Enterprise Scotland for this nomination, it really does make a huge difference to all the contributors, the local community and the wider CVS Inverclyde team, past and present.
