Community Benefits
The Community Benefit Gateway
The Community Benefit Gateway (CBG) is an online portal where NHS suppliers offer community benefits as part of their NHS contracts. These benefits support wider social, environmental and economic outcomes in Scotland.
How can my organisation benefit?
If your project or equipment request supports the Inverclyde community and helps reduce inequalities, you can upload it to the portal. NHS suppliers view requests and contact organisations directly with offers of support.

Case Studies
Recent examples of Community Benefit Gateway support include mental health services, funding for a defibrillator and a menopause support group.
Glasgow City Region Community Benefits Hub
The Glasgow City Region Community Benefits Hub connects local community groups with businesses delivering contracts on behalf of Inverclyde Council. It provides a simple way for organisations across Inverclyde to access practical support that can make a real difference locally.
How can my organisation benefit?
Any community group, charity, association or voluntary organisation in Inverclyde can submit “wishes” through the Hub. These are requests for goods, services or resources that businesses may be able to provide as part of their contract commitments.
Submitting a Wish
Organisations can submit up to three wishes at any one time, with requests of up to £2,000 per wish. Examples include funding to support free sports activities for young people from low-income households, or equipment such as a defibrillator for a community space.
