Partnerships and Networks
Helping to drive meaningful change in Inverclyde’s communities
Resilience Network
The Resilience Network brings together third sector organisations, public sector partners and interested stakeholders to share knowledge, collaborate and strengthen partnership working across Inverclyde.
The Network promotes a holistic approach to building resilience and fostering hope within our communities. Its programme of work is shaped by the 13 Areas of Impact, which identify the aspects of day-to-day life in Inverclyde that the Resilience Network members felt they could influence for the better. Mirroring the social determinants of health, the Areas of Impact is a living document that offers a themed map of work happening across Inverclyde. The intention for this resource is to increase our understanding of local services, identify gaps in provision and present potential opportunities for partnership working.
By connecting work happening across Inverclyde, the Resilience Network aims to:
- Reduce duplication and siloed working
- Strengthen cross-sector collaboration
- Increase the third sector’s contribution to the integration of health and social care
The Network provides a shared space where people can learn from one another, explore challenges and develop coordinated approaches that support community wellbeing.
The network meets quarterly: February, May, August and November.
If you’re a member of CVS Inverclyde and you’d like to join the Resilience Network, please email admin@cvsinverclyde.org.uk.

Best Start in Life Network
The Best Start in Life Network is the local forum for third sector organisations and public sector partners who support children and families. The network provides a space to come together to discuss relevant topics, local and national updates and best practice. We recognise that it really does “take a village to raise a child”. Taking a collaborative and holistic approach, this cross-sectoral network works to ensure that Inverclyde’s children and young people have the best start in life.
We have a programme of work that includes national updates and local updates. Likewise, the network is aligned with the priorities from Inverclyde’s Children's Services Plan, increasing the local third sector’s contribution to the design and delivery of whole family support in Inverclyde.
The network meets quarterly: January, April, July and October.
